When I found out that there was a fashion style called "kidcore," I fell in love. It gave me a lot of comfort and helped me get through some tough times on pandemic. Later on, I discovered the decorakei fashion style, and that’s when a little idea started to form. I wanted to dress like those people with colorful and beautiful outfits, hair clips, and an overload of bracelets and necklaces—but “in my own style.”When I started searching for this type of clothing and fashion in my country, Mexico. the only place I really found anything was Shein. They have cute clothes, but… we all know they’re not a great company. So I didn’t want to buy everything from there.As an artist—well, if you know my work, you know I love drawing with lots of color—and that’s where my first idea came from: “If I can’t find the clothes I’m looking for, I’ll make them myself.” It’s been one of my biggest dreams to create a shirt featuring one of my designs.Then came university, where I was asked to create a business plan for a “company” of my own. That’s when Confettiz was born. At first, I wasn’t even thinking about clothes—the first thing that came to mind for my brand was figures and plushies. As you can tell, I also love collecting things. I’m a fan of brands like Tokidoki, Build-A-Bear, Beanie Babies, and even Gloomy Bear. All of those inspired the foundation of my project.And you might be wondering, “Where are the plushies and clothes?” Well, it’s still a bit early for me to start working on that, so I chose something a little more “simple” to begin with. Still, it’s something I truly love and that’s part of my hobbies: stationery!

I’ve completely fallen in love with the process of making stickers, notebooks, memo pads, and more. My hope is that the shop will slowly grow and allow me to offer more and more things until we finally reach the ultimate goal: selling plushies!
Most of the products I offer right now are handmade—I rarely order from suppliers—so every sticker, notebook, and sheet of paper you receive was made with my love, sweat, tears, and a few paper cuts.
To give the project a more original twist and combine it with another thing I love—character design—I decided to structure the theme of my shop around characters that represent different modern aesthetics. Inspired by Sanrio and other famous brand mascots, each of my characters embodies a unique style. I won’t name the aesthetics directly, but I think it’s pretty clear which one each character represents.The idea is that there’s someone out there who can connect with one of the characters and find merch that makes them feel safe and proud of their style—even if they want to mix two totally different ones! My only intention is for my brand to be a way to celebrate freedom of style, and for everyone who buys something to wear it with pride and happiness, without fear of being judged. I want people to dress in unique and different ways. I want more originality in this world.So yes, Confettiz originally started out as a clothes brand, then a plushie brand, then both, then stationary!. I poured a lot of heart into this project—and in the end, it inspired me even more. I thought, “Why not?”.With all these ideas, I want people—just like me—to find their style, embrace their identity, and feel free and comfortable being themselves.Thank you so much for reading and for supporting this big project of my life!🌈
